When Does Support For El Capitan End
Apple does not announce support life spans or end of support expectations. Historically, they support the current public release (10.11) and the previous two (10.10 & 10.9). However, security updates are a different matter as those are pushed out in the background and not necessarily bundled into an incremental release update.

So the historical model of supporting current (n) release plus n-1 and n-2 past releases typically means no feature updates for n-3 or older releases, but security patches and updates may still be pushed out for older releases.
